Dreamtime

The Monastery is proud to present three artworks from Alekzander Rang, inspired by his travels in Australia and the Aboriginal culture.

Dreamtime

“The paintings here were created out of a deep respect for the aboriginal Australian people. They have suffred and have been displaced over the last two centuries. Their lands and beliefs have survived through tales and word of mouth. My paintings try to capture a little of the pain I felt for their loss, and the admitration I hold for a culture so in tune with the natural rhythms of our mother Earth.” says the artist.
